Are you thinking of selling or trading in that old car, boat or RV? Why not donate it instead? As a charitable contribution your donation could make a big difference.

The Connecticut Sports Foundation works with America's largest and most trusted car donation center that will make all the arrangements to conveniently and quickly pick-up your car donation at no cost to you. They handle the title transfer requirements and will provide you with a tax deductible donation receipt when they pick-up your car.

1. What can I donate?

A: We accept most cars, trucks, trailers, boats and RVs. If you have any questions about what you can donate, please call 1-860-388-0788.

2. Is my donation tax deductible?

A: The Connecticut Sports Foundation is classified with the IRS as non-profit 501 (c)(3) charitable organization so your donation is tax deductible. Individual tax situations vary so please check with a tax professional to determine how you may benefit.

3. What do I need to provide?

A: Besides the car, we would like the title to the vehicle, but if you do not have it please call us anyway. It is possible that other arrangements may be made.

4. My car hasn't run in years. Can I still donate it?

A: Yes, most vehicles are accepted, running or not (exceptions include older vehicles whose value would not offset the cost of towing). To find out if we can accept your vehicle, please fill out the online donation form.

5. Can you pick up vehicles in all 50 states?

A: It is possible to pick up most vehicles in the continental U.S. and Hawaii.

6. How is the value of my car determined?

A: It is suggested that you review the IRS Publication which sets forth the manner in which the IRS requires you to determine the value of your donated property. In short, the IRS allows you, the donor, to assess the fair market value of your vehicle. The Kelly Blue Book Web site will be helpful in determining the value of your vehicle.

7. How will the car be picked up?

A: Arrangements will be made to have your vehicle towed away at a scheduled time.

8. How long will it take to pick up my car?

A: Someone will contact you to schedule an appointment within three or four business days at the most. If you need your car picked up sooner, please call 1-860-388-0788 to see if arrangements to pick up sooner can be made.
