Join our SBC SNET Community Connections Program

The Connecticut Sports Foundation Against Cancer, Inc. (CSF) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide economic assistance and compassionate aid to Connecticut cancer patients and their families. Through recipient grants, CSF helps pay monthly mortgage payments/rents/utilities as well as providing funds for food, medications, gas, and transportation to and from hospitals and/or treatment centers for patients and their families. Referred to us by oncology social workers from Connecticut hospitals, hospices, and cancer treatment centers, each CSF applicant is thoroughly screened by these professionals who can attest to the legitimacy of each family’s need.

Because CSF is virtually the only organization in Connecticut that provides financial assistance directly to cancer patients and their families, we are inundated with more applications for assistance than we can fulfill. Our long-term goal is to never have to turn anyone away. And you can help at no out-of-pocket cost. How? Through the SBC SNET Community Connections program.

When you sign up for SBC SNET Community Connections by calling the special toll-free number 1-800-635-7638, you not only get the best SBC SNET All Distance calling plan for your family needs, you can request that 5% of all your SBC SNET All Distance spending–including in-state toll calls, out-of state and international long distance calls, even calling card calls—be designated to CSF. Already an SBC SNET All Distance customer? No problem. Sign up and keep your existing calling plan, there is no extra charge to be a part of the program. Because CSF is a volunteer non-profit organization with only 6% administrative costs, you can rest assured that every penny of your SBC SNET Community Connections donation will directly benefit Connecticut cancer patients and their families.

Imagine, you can help us provide much needed assistance to families going through a very difficult time who have no where else to turn. Together we can assure that patients and their families are not evicted from their living quarters. They have food to eat. They are able to obtain their life-saving medications. They are able to get to the hospital for their treatments. They are able to keep their utilities on. They are able to pay for their medical insurance. Their parent and/or spouse can continue to work. Their children can be cared for. And life--even with cancer--can go on with a bit less stress and fewer disruptions.

Won’t you help us help so many others?
