The Connecticut Sports
Foundation Against Cancer has teamed up with Panera Bread/Howley Bread
Group, Ltd for its Operation Dough-Nation Program. The partnership
includes nine of Panera Bread’s bakery-cafes in Connecticut, including
Manchester (2), Enfield, Canton, Glastonbury, Bristol, Newington,
Waterford and Foxwoods.

Operation Dough-Nation® is a
program committed to ensuring that every purchase at Panera Bread feeds
back into the community. Cash donations made in each bakery-cafe by
customers are donated to CSFAC. A portion of those donations will be
matched by Panera Bread.
“Our intention with the
Operation Dough-Nation program is to collect and direct its
contributions to deserving organizations,” said Wendy Kopp, Director of
Marketing at Panera Bread/HBG. “We kept hearing about the Connecticut
Sports Foundation Against Cancer and, after a closer look, have been
really impressed with the impact they’re making in the community in
support of cancer patients and their families.”
All nine Panera Bread
bakery-cafes partnering with the Connecticut Sports Foundation Against
Cancer are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Via Panera also caters
and delivers its full menu to offices and parties of 5 or more. All the
participating bakery-cafes are owned by one of Panera’s top franchises,
the Howley Bread Group, LTD of Cumberland, RI. The franchisee owns and
operates a total of ten bakery-cafes in Connecticut and a total of
twenty throughout Greater Hartford/Eastern Connecticut, Southeastern
Massachusetts and Rhode Island markets.
